School Board Hosts Feb. 27 Joint Meeting

with Legislative Delegation

 

VIERA—The Brevard County School Board will host a joint meeting with the Brevard County Legislative Delegation on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The meeting will be held in the BPS Board Room, Educational Services Facility, 2700 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera.

The primary purpose of this meeting is to discuss K-12 education issues in Brevard County. Expected discussion topics include state funding for education, charter school accountability, the school calendar, state-imposed class size regulations, merit pay for teachers, and related education issues. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be carried live on BPS-TV, Bright House Cable Channel 198.

The delegation will have lunch with School Board members and staff. Lunch is being prepared by students from the exceptional culinary arts programs at Bayside High School and Palm Bay High School.
