Area IV Superintendent, Ron Bobay is responsible for 17 schools in the
Titusville, Port St. John area of the county. He has served the
District for 20 years as an Assistant Superintendent for Exceptional
Student Education and Student Services and in his current capacity.
He previously worked for the School Board of Seminole County, for Dade
County Public Schools and with the Philadelphia, PA, school system.
He taught in elementary and secondary programs in both basic and exceptional
education programs. He received a commission in the U.S. Army
and is a Vietnam Veteran.
Dr.
Bobay earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Eastern
Michigan University and his Masters and Ph.D. in Educational Administration
from Florida State University.
His most
satisfying experience has been the integration of the severely disabled
into normal school settings
"Kids
are our business," is how Dr. Bobay describes the role of Brevard
Public Schools.
