The
School Board of Brevard County holds its meetings the
second and fourth Tuesday of the month, except in summer
and November, December and January. Learn more about the
goals and action plans of your school district by
watching the five-member Board discuss various topics,
with input from Superintendent Dr. Richard A DiPatri,
district staff, and the public. The School Board
meetings are broadcast live on Bright House channel 9 at
5:00 p.m. on designated Tuesdays.
BPS
News is a fast paced show devoted to bringing the
Brevard County community news and information about
public schools. Each 30 minute monthly edition features
news stories presented by high school TV production
students, profiles of student and staff achievers,
district job postings and a calendar of upcoming events.
The show also includes interview segments with news
makers in the school district and brief news updates
presented by students from public schools all over the
County. The show is produced at the new state-of-the-art
TV production studios located at Melbourne High School

than 500 community leaders, elected officials and others
joined Florida Gov. Charlie Crist on Dec. 19 for a
special luncheon honoring Brevard Public Schools for
winning the 2007 Governor’s Sterling Award. After
the luncheon, Crist taped a special message for all
75,000 Brevard Public Schools students.
Superintendent’s Forum
is a public affairs talk show broadcast on Brevard
Public Schools’ TV channel which is viewed on Bright
House Networks channel 9. Twice a month Superintendent
Dr. Richard DiPatri talks with district employees,
community business partners, or educational experts to
discuss the programs and projects that enhance our
educational efforts and serve our students with
excellence.
Touchdown Brevard is a 30-minute weekly show produced by
the staff ofBrevard Public Schools’ TV channel
and broadcast on Bright House channel 9. The show
captures highlights from Cape Coast Conference high
school football games being played in the district
throughout the season. Each weekend, the show features
the best plays of the games, plus excerpts of marching
band performances and cheerleader routines. Hosting the
show is John Diamantas, a graduate of Merritt Island
High.
