| Robert L. Jordan
was
elected to the Board in 2002. In 2003 he served as Board
Vice Chairman. Mr. Jordan, who has more than 27 years of
experience in the field of aerospace, is an Engineering
Project Manager with United Space Alliance. He holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from
Savannah State University, and a Masters of Aeronautical
Science degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
in Daytona Beach. |

Dr. Barbara A.
Murray was elected to the
Brevard County School Board in 2006. Dr. Murray has
served education for thirty-four years as a public
school teacher, middle school principal, assistant high
school principal, high school principal, and school
district superintendent at John Glenn Schools in
Walkerton, Indiana. As a principal in Volusia County,
Murray was the recipient of the Volusia/Flagler
Counties’ School Guidance Counselor’s Association
Principal of the Year Award for her child-centered
leadership style. She is currently an associate
professor of Educational Leadership at the University of
Central Florida in Orlando. Dr. Murray earned a Bachelor
of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in
Education from Ball State University in Indiana. She
holds an Ed. S. from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in
Educational Leadership from Indiana State University. Dr
Murray was recently awarded the Florida Governor’s
Points of Light Award for her C.A.R.E. To Read program
that utilizes registered therapy dogs to motivate
at-risk children. |

Ms. Amy J.
Kneessy was elected to the
School Board in 2004. She is currently an adjunct math
instructor for Brevard Community College in Palm Bay.
Prior to her position on the school board, Mrs. Kneessy
served as an academic advisor for Florida Air Academy.
She has experience in special education, both in Florida
and Indiana. Ms. Kneessy holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Math Education from Indiana State University.
She also holds a Master of Science degree in school
counseling from Butler University in Indianapolis.
Additional graduate certifications from Indiana
University include Educational Leadership and Special
Education. |

Larry E. Hughes was
elected to the School Board in 2000 and served as Board
Chair in 2004-2005. Mr. Hughes is a Certified Board
Member earning the Master Board distinction in 2001 and
again in 2003. He served on the Board of Directors of
the Florida School Boards Association for four years, is
a Board Member of the Brevard Schools Foundation, was a
gubernatorial appointee under Governors Chiles, Bush and
Crist and is a member of the leadership team awarded the
Governor’s Sterling Award in 2007. A product of Brevard
Public Schools, Mr. Hughes earned his Bachelor of
Science degree from Rollins College and his Master of
Science and MBA degrees from the Florida Institute of
Technology. He started his own engineering and
management consulting firm, Apogee Engineering, in 1989.
A 50-year resident of Brevard, he resides in West
Melbourne. His four children are all graduates of
Brevard public schools. |

| Ms. Janice Kershaw
was elected to the Brevard County School Board in 1998.
She serves as the Board’s Chairman. From 2001 -
2003, she served as Board Chairman. Ms. Kershaw earned
Board Member Certification from the Florida School
Boards Association and serves on its Board of Directors.
Currently, Ms. Kershaw represents Brevard in her
position as Chair of the Central Florida Public School
Boards Coalition. She serves as District Director of
VSA Arts for the Brevard Achievement Center.
Ms. Kershaw serves in a range of volunteer capacities
for many civic and cultural organizations. She holds a
Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in
Greencastle, IN. She and her husband, Dave, have two
sons that attend West Shore Jr/Sr High School in
Melbourne. |
