| Dr. Michael Krupp
was
elected to his first term as a Board member in November,
2010. A 20-year resident of Titusville and 44 years in
Brevard County, Dr. Krupp served Brevard Public Schools
(BPS) in numerous capacities as a science teacher, an
Adult/Community Center Ed. Coordinator, high school
assistant principal, and as a junior and senior high
school principal. Dr. Krupp has also served Brevard
Community College as their Ombudsman for the Educator
Preparation Institute/Alternative Certification Program
for prospective educators from 2005-2010. He holds a
Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky, a
Master’s of Art in Teaching from the University of North
Carolina-Chapel Hill, as well as a Specialist and
Doctorate degree from the University of Florida in
Educational Leadership. |

Dr. Barbara A.
Murray was elected to the
Brevard County School Board in 2006. Dr. Murray has
served education for thirty-four years as a public
school teacher, middle school principal, assistant high
school principal, high school principal, and school
district superintendent at John Glenn Schools in
Walkerton, Indiana. As a principal in Volusia County,
Murray was the recipient of the Volusia/Flagler
Counties’ School Guidance Counselor’s Association
Principal of the Year Award for her child-centered
leadership style. She is currently an associate
professor of Educational Leadership at the University of
Central Florida in Orlando. Dr. Murray earned a Bachelor
of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in
Education from Ball State University in Indiana. She
holds an Ed. S. from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in
Educational Leadership from Indiana State University. Dr
Murray was recently awarded the Florida Governor’s
Points of Light Award for her C.A.R.E. To Read program
that utilizes registered therapy dogs to motivate
at-risk children. |

Ms. Amy J.
Kneessy was elected to the
School Board in 2004. She is currently an adjunct math
instructor for Brevard Community College in Palm Bay.
Prior to her position on the school board, Mrs. Kneessy
served as an academic advisor for Florida Air Academy.
She has experience in special education, both in Florida
and Indiana. Ms. Kneessy holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Math Education from Indiana State University.
She also holds a Master of Science degree in school
counseling from Butler University in Indianapolis.
Additional graduate certifications from Indiana
University include Educational Leadership and Special
Education. |

Ms. Karen Henderson
was
elected to the Brevard County School Board in 2008. A
Brevard native, Henderson graduated from Merritt Island
High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Administration from Rollins College. Ms.
Henderson worked at Kennedy Space Center for seven years
before moving to Washington to work as a computer
consultant and process improvement specialist.
Returning to Florida in 2003, Henderson became a
community and children’s advocate and spent much of her
time volunteering in Brevard Public Schools. She and
her husband have two children attending Brevard Public
Schools. |

Mr. Andy Ziegler was elected to the Brevard County
School Board in 2008. Mr. Ziegler has served 20 years
with the Rotary Club of Palm Bay holding numerous Board
positions including President. Ziegler graduated from
the Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Computer Science. Mr. Ziegler is an
honorary lifetime member of the Melbourne Beach
Volunteer Fire Department having served with them for
seven years. He has served on the School Board’s Audit
Committee as well as serving on the School Improvement
Committees at Melbourne High School, Central Middle
School, Meadowlane Elementary School and Port Malabar
Elementary School. Mr. Ziegler is a current member of
numerous Boards of Directors including the Melbourne
Regional Chamber of Commerce as well as Space Coast
Early Intervention Center and Brevard Cultural
Alliance. He and his wife Patty, have one daughter who
is presently attending Brevard Community College. |
