The Summer Fine Arts Theatre Workshop scheduled for June 2020 has been canceled due to the uncertainty surrounding the  Covid-19 pandemic, current CDC guidelines, and the closure of BPS schools for the month of May. LATEST NEWS (Wednesday April 15, 1:30 p.m.)

April 24 to be instruction day; no meal service at schools

Friday April 24 will be an instruction and learning day for BPS instead of a previously scheduled teacher-student holiday for schools.

However, there will be no meal pick-up service for students on April 24because the day will remain a scheduled school holiday for BPS cafeteria staff.  Instead, those who pick up student meals at schools on Thursday April 23 will receive enough food in their packages for two days of breakfasts and lunches per child.

The Brevard County School Board voted Tuesday to make Friday April 24 a “COVID-19 make-up day.”  Teacher and student activity should follow BPS’ continuity-of-instruction plan for remote learning.

BPS will update staff and families as the state further advises school districts on make-up days and school closures.  The school district’s revised school-year calendar can be reviewed online HERE.
