What is Title I
Title I provides support through resources and research-based training, enabling schools to develop high quality, enriched programs that meet the individual needs of all children, families, and staff. Title I is a federally funded program designed to improve achievement at schools with a high percentage of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches. To qualify for school-wide program status, a school must meet the criteria of a free and reduced lunch percentage of 65% or higher.

Parent’s Right to Know
Each parent of a student at Dr. W.J Creel Elementary School has the right to request information about the professional qualifications of the student’s teacher(s) and any paraprofessionals who serve the student. This information is in our Family Involvement Binder located in our front office.

Title I Annual Meeting
The purpose of the Title I annual parent meeting is to provide information to parents of participating children about the Title I program and their right to be involved in their child’s education. Dr. W. J. Creel Elementary held our Annual Title I Meeting on Thursday, September 19, 2019.
