What is Future Problem Solvers?
Future Problem Solvers is a competition-based club open to students from grades 4-12 (3rd graders will not be able to compete just participate in the club).
What will students do?
- Students in 4th to 12th grade learn and apply the skills of creative problem solving to issues in our own community, significant global issues, and futuristic scenarios.
- A group is composed of 4 students (Grades4-6, Grades7-9, and Grades 10-12).
- Students are given a prompt that deals with a certain future problem and together will use creative writing skills as they create a futuristic 1500-word scenario based on one of the current FPSPI topics as well give an oral presentation of their topic.
What is the cost of Future Problem Solvers?
100.00 per Team 4 compete and 2 alternates - 14.00 per person.
With no alternates price is 25.00 per student.
What do the alternates do?
The alternates will participate in their own activities on Competition days but will not compete in the main event unless someone is sick or is unable to compete.
