ATTENTION 3rd – 6th Grade Parents – Florida Statute 1008.22(3) clearly states “Participation in the assessment program is mandatory for all school districts and all students attending public schools…” and Florida Statute 1008.25(4) states “Each student must participate in the statewide, standardized assessment program…” Brevard will comply with state law and FDOE guidance by following these procedures: 1) All students who are present during any testing window, in which statewide assessments are being administered, will sit for the test, and 2) If students are not present during a regularly scheduled test session, they will be expected to sit for a make-up test that will be administered during the testing window for that assessment. Please try and avoid doctor/dentist appointments during the following dates:
- April 1st – FSA Writing for Grades 4 – 6
- April 1st and 2nd – FSA ELA (Reading) for Grade 3
- May 5th and 6th – FSA ELA (Reading) for Grades 4 – 6
- May 11th and May 12th – FSA Math for Grades 3 – 6
- May 14th and May 15th – NGSSS Science for Grade 5
Please do not send your child to school on a testing day if they are ill. We will schedule them for a make-up session when they feel better and will be able to do their personal best. Thanks!
