Stevenson Parent Volunteer Fundraising Organization
The purpose of volunteering at Stevenson is to help create an atmosphere that focuses on the education of children and to provide teachers and students with assistance, encouragement, and support of its education programs.
There are many special activities that take place during the school year. Working with administration, the School Advisory Council and Parent Volunteer Fundraising Organization provide many opportunities to help. From sponsoring a host of activities such as Junior Achievement, Future Problem Solving, Odyssey of the Mind, Career Day, Penguin Palooza, and Field Day to dressing up bulletin boards and making copies, parents are an invaluable part of our success. Parents have many opportunities to assist classroom teachers, create background sets for our stage productions and becoming a media helper in our library with the shelving of books to setting up STEM activities. There is always much to do because our students have lots to do. We value our RLS volunteers and appreciate all that they do for our school!
To be a registered volunteer, background checks and fingerprinting are necessary to ensure the safety of our students.
