• Stevenson's Program:

    Stevenson is a Eureka Math Pilot  School:  Created by the nonprofit Great Minds, Eureka Math helps teachers deliver unparalleled math instruction that builds students deep understanding and fluency in math. Crafted by the teachers and math scholars, the curriculum carefully sequences the mathematical progressions to maximize coherence from grade K through 6 - a principle tested and proven to be essential in student mastery of math.

    iReady Stevenson Implements I-Ready Reading and Diagnostics: Close reading is a popular term today in elementary education and a requirement in the Florida State Standards for ELA and other content such as science and social studies. In order to ensure students are college and career ready, students will need to independently comprehend increasingly challenging texts and develop the skills and habits of mind necessary to unpack deep embedded meaning.

     

    Stevenson's Gifted Program:  Many of our students participate in the school's gifted program under the direction of Jennifer Monroe, Gifted  Teacher.  Gifted "Students receive enrichment opportunities by working and collaborating with other like-students through problem-based learning projects. Research, digital presentations, and art are all a part of their enrichment. Some of our students participate on the Future Problem Solving team who prepare to compete with other schools."
