    1) Click on the School Board Policies and Procedures link above;
    2) Click on the "Policies" tab in the upper right hand corner;
    3) Select "Book:" then click drop down to "Policy Manual";
    4) Click "5000 Students" and;
    5) Then click po5420 or po5421.

    Policy 5420 - Reporting Student Progress
    Policy 5421 Grading

     
    Elementary progress reports are issued each nine-week grading period. 

    Kindergarten progress reports use the following marking codes:

       Meets and applies expectations/standards independently
       Meets and applies expectations/standards with support
       Does not meet expectations/standards; shows growth with additional support
       Does not meet expectations/standards; shows no growth even with additional     
            support

    Transitional Kindergarten-First Grade and Grades 1 and 2 progress reports use the following marking codes:

    O - Outstanding                  Demonstrates outstanding progress
                                                           Exceeds expectations
                                                           Self-directed

    S - Satisfactory                     Demonstrates adequate progress
                                                           Meets expectations
                                                           Requires little teacher direction           

    N - Not Demonstrated     Needs more time and experience to make adequate
                                                           progress

                                                           Begins to meet expectations
                                                           Requires frequent teacher directions

    U - Unsatisfactory              Demonstrates unsatisfactory progress
                                                           Works below grade level expectations
                                                           Requires repeated teacher direction

    Grades 3 - 6 progress reports use the following numerical values established by Florida Statue:

    90 - 100      A    Excellent

    80 - 89        B     Good

    70 - 79        C     Satisfactory

    60 - 69        D    Poor

    0 - 59          F      Unsatisfactory

    O, S, N and U are used for grades 3 – 6 for Lifelong Learning Skills of Independence and Cooperation and optional subject.

    In grades K - 6, a check indicates below grade level performance in reading and/or math and noted in the comment section.
