My name is Tia Briskey. I am so excited about this school year. I am new to Creel but not to teaching. I have been teaching for 6 years.  I have taught 4th, 5th and VPK and I am excited to be back in 5th grade. I am a Florida native and graduated from the University of Central FL with my bachelors in elementary education K-6 and my masters in Reading K-12. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two daughters, Samantha 6 and Olivia 5. We love to take family cruises especially over Christmas and watch football together. I look forward to helping your child grow and learn this year!

My name is Patrick McArdle. This is my 32nd year in education, all at Dr. W. J. Creel. I am presently a fifth-grade teacher and have been for ten years. Prior to that, I spent over twenty years teaching fourth grade. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. Previously I graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York. Obviously I am a Yankee, from Upstate New York (not the city). I have been married to my wife Lisa for 28 years. She is a second-grade teacher here at Creel, where we met. Our two children Katie (26 years old) and Matthew (23 years old) both attended Creel from kindergarten through sixth grade. Presently Katie is a preschool teacher in Chicago, Illinois and Matthew is presently pursuing his Master’s Degree in City Planning from Florida State. I tend to follow all sports and am a huge fan of Notre Dame and Syracuse, but especially the Irish! My class motto is ‘Work and Play Like a Champion Today’, adapted from the Fightin’ Irish. I also enjoy being outside, even on the hot summer days of Florida. Playing golf, fishing, beach, mowing the lawn is all fine with me. I love wearing shorts and flip flops! I like to have a good time in class and share a laugh with the kids in class. I hope to make each student’s fifth-grade year memorable and enjoyable!

My name is Elizabeth Rollins and I began teaching in 1991, and since 2003, I have been at Dr. W. J. Creel. I have taught music, art, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th grades and also taught English as a Second Language overseas. I graduated from the State University of New York, in Brockport with my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children with a concentration in music. I earned my Master’s degree in Education from The University of New England, Biddeford, ME while teaching in Cairo, Egypt, where I lived for about 20 years. I used to sing professionally while living there. My main man is Neal Rollins and we are in the process of building a new home with my parents! We hope it’s done by the end of this year. I have two adult children, and have recently become a grandmother of a baby girl, through my youngest son and his wife, and also an honorary grandmother of a baby boy, through Neal’s son and his wife. Both babies are adorable and wonderful! I love walking the beach and enjoy being outside. I also like to swim, play ping pong, (almost any sport with a paddle or racket is fun for me), go to the movies, and I enjoy playing the piano and singing. I am so excited to be teaching math this year and look forward to many math-filled years in the future!
