Greetings! My name is Matthew Wilson and I am a school counselor at Sabal Elementary. I have been working with Sabal students since 2012. I have watched them grow academically, social emotionally, and ….well get really tall! We probably see that the most in Elementary school. I have a Master Degree from Webster University in Mental Health and School Counseling. My Bachelor is in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. My wife and I have been working in Brevard for 10+ years. We look forward to many more with our two children (currently 2 and 4). My name is James Sanders. I am one of the counselors on our Social Emotional Team here at Sabal Elementary. As an exceptional student educational specialist I have the opportunity to provide guidance services and ESE mental health counseling to students. I received a master’s degree in Guidance Counseling from Alcorn State University located in Mississippi. I have over 17 years of providing counseling services to students from grades K-12. I permanently moved to Brevard County with my wife of 25 plus years Phalecia and my son James Jr. I truly enjoy being a school counselor and every day I feel thankful to have the opportunity to work with you and your children. My name is Jasmine Gyant. I am a school-based mental health counselor with Lifetime Counseling Center and contracted social worker at Sabal Elementary. I have the pleasure of teaming up with the outstanding staff and guidance counselors at Sabal to support our Trailblazers through a variety of adversities. I received my master’s degree in counselor education with a concentration is mental health counseling from the University of South Florida and am working towards becoming a licensed mental health counselor. I have experience supporting children through several challenges including but not limited to: issues related to attention-deficit disorders (such as ADHD), trauma, depression, anxiety, and family conflicts. It is my passion to support and empower children and families through everyday challenges and finding healthy approaches to cope moving forward during this challenging time as we are all adjusting to our new, daily way of life.
