The Brevard Public Schools Preapprenticeship Program includes Building Construction, Applied Robotics Advanced Manufacturing and Machining Technology.
Our Pre-Apprenticeship program provides students opportunities to learn entry-level skills that prepare them to qualify to enter a registered apprenticeship program.
Students who have completed levels 1, 2, and 3 with grades “C” or higher and graduate from high school will receive a certificate of completion. This qualifies students to apply to become an apprentice with Brevard Public Schools Apprenticeship program sponsors, Coastal Mechanical or Space Coast Consortium Apprenticeship Program.
Apprenticeship programs offer highly structured training to learn while you work. A progressive wage scale is used- as your skills increase, your wages increase. Once you complete the apprenticeship program, a nationally recognized Completion of Apprenticeship certificate by the State of Florida is issued and can lead into journey worker opportunities.
Pre-apprenticeship to apprenticeship pathways creates great opportunities for students to build not only their knowledge and skills, but their career paths towards in-demand, high-wage occupations.
