• Hello NJHS/BETA Club Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers,

     Please find attached important information outlining the Founder's Day parade.  Also attached is a copy of a handout designed to spark ideas for a "mini float", should your student wish to design one for the parade.

     The mini float idea is meant to be fun and provide the students with an opportunity to show-off their creative talents, as well as set us apart from the other participating groups.  The theme is volunteerism, and each student is free to choose a cause he or she would like to showcase.  (Google: "Wagon Floats" for inspiration)🙂

    ​​** It is perfectly okay for your student to "just walk" with his or her club, and not create a mini float if it is not feasible.  

     So, here's the scoop as it pertains to all NJHS and BETA Club participants:

     Parade date: Saturday, November 6th

     Arrive at the DeLaura parking lot between 9:00am (at the earliest) and 9:30am (at the latest)

     Decorate Mrs. Calderone's van, put finishing touches on mini floats - I will have an ample supply of tape of all kinds, cable ties, bungee cords, poster board, markers, etc.

     Water and snacks will be provided for all club members

     Groups will begin lining-up at 10:00am, parade steps-off at 11:00am (see attached parade route)

     The weather is predicted to be sunny and mild - perfect for a parade!   We are looking forward to a fun-filled morning that allows students to participate in a long-standing community tradition, and earn 4 Community Service hours! 🙂
