    ParaPro Test Prep Courses: Clearlake Education Center
    Reading/Writing Section - Tuesdays & Wednesdays, September 7 to 29, 2021 - 5-7 PM 
    Fee $48
    Math Section - Wednesdays & Thursdays, October 6 to November 4, 2021 - 5:30-7:30 PM Fee $54
     

    The ParaPro Assessment measures the skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math possessed by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals/instructional assistants. It also measures their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction. These test prep classes will prepare you to take the ParaPro Assesment.  *This class is for those interested in working as an instructional assistant who do not have a 2-year degree. BPS starting pay for IAs is $13.08 per hour.

    Beginning Clay Class: Rockledge High School
    Dates: 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, & 10/13
    Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm
    $36 for class, $40 for supplies, $76 total

    This is a beginning clay class where you will be taught how to create a bowl using the drape mold method as well as how to make a smaller bowl or jewelry holder using hand building techniques. While projects are drying and waiting to fire, we will be creating a piece using string, nails, and a piece of wood.

    Spanish 1A on Zoom: September 28 to November 2, 2021, TUESDAYS, 5:30-7:30 pm

    • This is the first class of a sequence of classes. This will cover sections 1-4 in the textbook.

    Spanish 1B on Zoom: September 29 to November 3, 2021, WEDNESDAYS, 5:30-7:30pm

    • This is the second class in a sequence of classes. This will cover sections 5-8 in the textbook.

    Spanish 1C on Zoom: September 30 to November 4, 2021, THURSDAYS, 5:30-7:30pm 

    • This is the third class of a sequence of classes. This will cover sections 9-12 in the textbook.

    Through our practical, interactive, and fun classes, you will learn to speak and read Spanish. This will allow you to be competitive in the labor market and also allow you to participate in an amazing cultural experience. With more than 50 million Hispanics living in the United States, learning Spanish can be extremely beneficial for anyone looking to expand their careers or simply enrich their personal lives to interact with a growing demographic.

    *NEW* Drawing Class Basic Technique Class: Clearlake Education Center -Wednesdays June 23 to July 28, 2021 - 5:30-7:30 PM Fee $45
     
    This class will encompass basic drawing skills that will including shading, perspective, proportion, page layout. Come relax and have some fun with us!

    *NEW* Art Camp for ages 14-18: Clearlake Education Center-June 28th to July 2nd - 10AM - 12PM  Fee $45
    This summer class is for students ages 14-18.  Students will create multiple projects that will include paper mache as well as an acrylic painting. Come relax and have some fun with us!

    Microsoft Office Word 

    Cocoa - Room 135 June 8, 15, 22, 23, 29, 30, 2021  From 4 to 6pm

    The Microsoft Office Word beginning course is an introduction to Word and more. The class will equip students to become proficient and increase their skills in Microsoft Office Word for the workplace and personal use. Students may choose to prepare to earn their Microsoft Office Specialist certification by passing the MOS Word exam after taking this course. There is an additional $75 fee to take the MOS Word exam.

    • Students must possess basic computer skills before enrolling.

    • This class covers beginning to intermediate Word skills.

    Microsoft Office Excel

    Palm Bay High- Room 14-107 June 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 28, 2021  From 4 to 6pm

The class will equip students to become proficient and increase their skills in Microsoft Office Excel for the workplace and personal use.
