• Secondary Educational Location Option (ELO)

ELO is an open enrollment process enabling selection of a secondary school located outside of the family's zoned school of attendance.  Prior to submitting an application for an ELO it is important to make sure the school is not frozen due to capacity, review specific terms and conditions, and understand the lottery process.

Athletics: Parents of non-traditional secondary students (i.e. grades 7-12 home education, private school, charter school) who wish to participate in a sport at a school for which they are not zoned, per FHSAA Bylaw 9.2, must follow Brevard’s controlled open enrollment process and apply via our ELO procedure within stated deadlines.  In the parent comment section, please notate the student is a non-traditional student who would like participate in athletics.
