Ms. Rebecca Camp

Rebecca Camp has decades of experience in adult education and was instrumental in starting the first adult high school in Brevard County in 1987, at Eastern Florida State College. She joined the staff of Brevard Public Schools in 1991 as the administrator of Brevard Adult Education Center-Melbourne.

She is a native Floridian and grew up in Daytona Beach, FL, graduating from Mainland High School. Rebecca received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Newberry College, Newberry, South Carolina.

Rebecca is the Lady Angler for the Heavy Hitter Sports Fishing Team and a member of Viera CrossFit. She has been married to her husband, Charlie, for forty years. They have two grown sons and two beautiful granddaughters.

Rebecca works together with her staff to provide the students of Brevard Adult Ed – Melbourne with the best education possible and a healthy and safe environment. Her goal is to provide an environment where everyone feels welcome and is happy to come every day. Rebecca’s door is always open, and she welcomes your input.

Ms. Karen D'Arceuil

Assistant Principal- Palm Bay Campus

Karen has been with Brevard Public Schools for over 33 years, starting her career as a P.E. Teacher in 1988 and later ventured to become a Dean at Palm Bay High School. She began her Assistan Principal role at Brevard Adult Education Palm Bay in 1998 and has helped continue to grow the program for the last 23 years. Karen's favorite school subject is organic chemistry and she enjoys kayaking, reading and traveling to new places.

Mr. Jamie Cross

Assistant Principal- Cocoa Campus

In 2013, Mr. Cross began his career in education teaching ESE(Exceptional Student Education) and mathematics at Cocoa High School. In 2019, Mr. Cross was Cocoa High Schools "Teacher of The Year". From 2017 to 2019, Mr. Cross's ESE middle school math classes had one of the highest average increases on the FSA mathematics examination compared to all other FSA exams throughout the county.

In 2019, he had 96% of his students experience gains with an average increase of 21 points for each student. Because of Mr. Cross's success in the ESE classroom, he firmly believes that all students are capable of success, no matter their educational background. Mr. Cross also coached wrestling for nine year(four years at Cocoa Beach High School and five years at Cocoa High School).

In 2019, Mr. Cross stepped away from coaching to pursue a career in educational leadership. He was a part time night teacher at Brevard Adult Education for two years starting in 2019. In June of 2021, Mr. Cross left Cocoa High School after 8 years to became the new administrator at the Central Brevard Adult and Community Education Center in Cocoa.

Mr. Tonny Harris

Assistant Principal- Titusville Campus

Mr. Harris is a product of Brevard Public Schools, earning his high school diploma from Rockledge High School in the early 2000’s.  Following high school he completed his associate’s in arts degree at Brevard Community College and his bachelor’s of science degree at the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!).   Shortly after he joined Brevard Public Schools as a teacher at Heritage High School, he completed his master’s in educational leadership at the University of Central Florida and accepted an assistant principal position at Palm Bay Magnet High School in 2019.  From there, he joined Brevard Adult and Community Education (BACE) in 2021 at the Titusville campus.

Mr. Harris loves to help others and takes pride in helping students “see what they can’t see in themselves.” He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in educational leadership at the University of Central Florida. 

When Mr. Harris is not in class or at work, he enjoys going to the gym, working in the yard, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Kyla, his son, Bryson, and his daughter, Janessa.
