Welcome to Audubon Elementary School! We are located in the beautiful community of Merritt Island, Florida. At Audubon we provide a high quality educational experience for all students.
Our collaborative school community will continue its journey toward excellence by promoting academic rigor, high standards, and exemplary character with an educational focus on all learners. We will work to support social-emotional learning and the nurturing of positive mindsets to increase student engagement and opportunities for learning by all.
I invite you to please review the school website for information regarding our school. Please contact the school office if you are in need of assistance in any area. I look forward to working with you, your children and our staff, striving for excellence, throughout the 2017-2018 school year.
Mrs. Jaime Slentz
Mrs. Slentz is looking forward to another year at Audubon for the 2019-2020 school year. As an Audubon Eagle alumni, she has a special place in her heart for this community school.
Mrs. Slentz is entering her 17th year with Brevard County Schools. She has previously taught 2nd, 4th, 5th grade and technology to students in grades K-6. Mrs. Slentz served as Audubon’s Instructional Coach during the 2017-2018 school year before being appointed as the Assistant Principal in 2018. She has a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, both earned from the American College of Education.
Mrs. Slentz is a true native, born in Rockledge and raised right here on Merritt Island. She is married to Coach Slentz, who teaches at Jefferson Middle School. Together they have four children; ages 5, 7, 11, and 13.
Her goal as the Assistant Principal is to support all staff, students, parents, and community members as they work together to create lifelong learners and individuals of character. Mrs. Slentz very much looks forward to watching all students “SOAR” to their highest potential and is committed to doing whatever it takes to make that happen.
