    About Mrs Robinson:

    Hello Pinewood Family!

I am so excited to be starting my 5th year as your principal!  Pinewood is an excellent school with an amazing staff and equally amazing students!

Since 1994, I have served many roles as an educator in Brevard Public Schools, but I consider my most important job to be that of an advocate for all children.  I believe that all students can learn and will work to celebrate their success, small and large.  I will encourage them every day and let them know that they are truly valued and have a special place in our school community!

Not only am I excited to continue working with your children, I look forward to the work that we will do together.  As the old African Proverb states, “It takes a village to raise a child.” I am excited to see your children through your eyes. I cannot wait to share with you the great things they do throughout their days here at Pinewood. And, of course, I will be here to work with you should they need any help navigating any aspect of the school day.

I am a true Florida Native as I was born in Jacksonville, and I have lived in Titusville since 1979.  I am a product of Brevard Public Schools, having attended Jackson Middle School and Titusville High.  I attended Brevard Community College, The University of Central Florida and received my teaching degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi and my master’s in educational leadership from NOVA Southeastern University.

In my free time, I enjoy boating, fishing, going to the beach, reading, cooking, and spending time with my husband, Bob and our four adult kids, Trey (22), Zachary (21), Chase (19), and Tessa (18).

I am honored to serve you as your principal and consider myself extremely fortunate to be a Pinewood Panther!

    Let’s have a great 2019-2020 school year!

    About Ms Smith:

It is with great pleasure that I am entering my third year as your assistant principal! Pinewood staff, students and families are some of the best around. This community is a place that I hold close to my heart as myself and many generations of my family have grown up down the street from Pinewood. To serve in the area that is my home is a unique blessing.

I began teaching in Brevard County in 2011. I have worked at a few different elementary schools in our area in various positions throughout the school. I truly believe everyone has the ability to learn and thrive at school and it is our job to find a way to make that happen. School should be a safe place for all students to come and be their true selves. My door is always open and building strong relationships with each student is something I believe can make all the difference in the world.

I attended the University of Central Florida where I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2011 and then attended the University of West Florida where I received my master’s degree in educational leadership in 2020. In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest accomplishment is my family. My husband, Daniel, and I pride ourselves in being very family oriented and instilling strong core values within our children. We enjoy spending time with our children, Bryce and Addilyn. We love going to the beach, attending Bryce’s baseball games, fishing and just being outside together!

In closing, please know that I am always available to you, welcome your conversation and am always open to positive input. Let’s work together to keep students our primary focus. Please always feel free to reach out to me by emailing Smith.amber@brevardschools.org or call the front office.
