Welcome

  • Our goal at WMSS is to provide a challenging curriculum in a caring and nurturing environment that promotes student learning and good citizenship. The policies and procedures for admission in WMSS reflect this basic choice.

As we continue to build upon our successes we are proud to provide an educational environment where parents, children, and educators work closely as a team. The differentiated instruction includes a wide range of science curriculum as well as all Common Core Standards. Students and parents are expected to sign and honor our "Parent, Student, Teacher Contract".

When selecting a school of choice, parents are an essential part of the learning team, and their acceptance of an active role in their child's learning environment is expected. Support by parents and students of West Melbourne Elementary School for Science (WMSS) mission statements, beliefs, objectives, policies and procedures are essential. Therefore, enrollment in WMSS is based on student and parent choice.
