What is Title I?
Title I provides support through resources and research-based training, enabling schools to develop high quality, enriched programs that meet the individual needs of all children, families, and staff. Title I is a federally funded program designed to improve achievement at schools with a high percentage of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches. To qualify for school-wide program status, a school must meet the criteria of a free and reduced lunch percentage of 65% or higher.
Through Title I funding PBE is able to provide:
o Additional staff
o Family check out materials
o Technology and computer programs
o Teacher and Parent Training Opportunities

Parent’s Right to Know
Each parent of a student at Palm Bay Elementary School has the right to request information about the professional qualifications of the student’s teacher(s) and any paraprofessionals who serve the student. This information is in our Family Engagement Binder located in our front office
School, District and Student Reports
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), and implementing regulations maintain requirements for state, local and school perfomance and progress in an understandable and uniform format. The link provided will take you to the Palm Bay Elementary report card. A printed copy can be found in the Title I Family Engagement Binder located in the front office. If you would like a printed copy or need the document translated into another language, please notify the front office clerk for assistance.
Along with the school report card, the state also issues an annual district report card. Brevard Public Schools' District Report Card can be found by either going to the Brevard Public Schools website under Helpful links on the front page and choosing BPS State Report Card or by going directly to the Florida Department of Educataion's website at

If any LEA or School Plans (e.g. Title I LEA Plan, Title I LEA PIP, Title I School PIP or SIP) are not satisfactory to the parents of participating children, the school district will submit any parent comments with the Title I, Part A plan when the school district submits the plan to the State Department of Education. Parents must be informed of their rights to submit comments. Comments received at Title I schools MUST be forwarded to the Office of Title I and those comments will be included with submission of the LEA Title I Plan, as required.
