Dr. Ferreira graduated from University of Central Florida with a doctorate degree in education in 2015, when she joined BPS as a reading coach.  After five years at Jackson Middle School, Dr. Ferreira initiated her career as an administrator at Viera High School.

Ms. JoAnne Patterson, Assistant Principal of Discipline & Facilities

Ms. Patterson graduated from Liberty University with an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership in 2021. After nine years as the Gifted and Talented English Language Arts teacher at Ronald McNair Magnet School, she became the dean at Herbert C. Hoover Middle School in 2022.
