Mrs. Susie Schroeder

Principal

Hi my name is Susie Schroeder and I have the great privilege of being the Principal of Meadowlane Primary Elementary.  I am a product of Brevard Public Schools attending Ocean Breeze Elementary, DeLaura Junior High and Satellite High School in my youth.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University and my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.  I have been married to my college sweetheart for 28 years and we have three amazing children ages 22, 23 and 24 of whom we are very proud.

I am exceptionally proud of the teachers and staff of MPE and the commitment they have to their students and this community. We have a very special school, the only one of its kind in the district, housing only Kindergarten through Second Grade students on our campus.  This allows us the opportunity to truly focus on the development of the whole child through academics, social interactions and emotional supports.  Our teachers have a strong focus in their classrooms on building early literacy through reading, writing and speaking as well as problem solving, while building students confidence and independence. We are proud to serve our students and their families and be an integral part of the West Melbourne Community.

Assistant Principal

My name is Sarah Oberbeck and I feel incredibly blessed to be part of the Meadowlane Primary Community! I am a proud product of Brevard Public Schools. Growing up in Satellite Beach, I attended Holland Elementary, DeLaura Middle school, and Satellite High School. My love of the outdoors brought me to the University of North Florida, which is housed right in the middle of a nature preserve! I earned both my Bachelors and Masters degrees on that beautiful campus! After moving back to the Space Coast, I taught in several BPS schools before becoming the Assistant Principal at Meadowlane Intermediate in 2018. In the Spring of 2020, I was given the incredible opportunity to move the Primary and return to working with the K-2 students. I taught first grade for most of my teaching career and I was thrilled to return to the primary world with Intermediate leadership experience! I am honored to serve Meadowlane Primary’s students, families, and teachers as the Assistant Principal by supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of young students every day!
