Dr. Martha Watts
Dr. Martha Joseph Watts has been an educator for more than two decades, four of which has been with Brevard County Public Schools. During her tenure, she has served as elementary teacher, middle and high school English teacher, and as adjunct faculty of writing. Dr. Watts is also an author. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in English and secondary education, and educational leadership respectively from the University of the Virgin Islands. Her doctoral degree is in teacher leadership from Walden University. As a member of the National Writing Project, and a teacher trainer, Dr. Watts engages in several teacher training activities annually.
Dr. Watts’ passion for teacher training brings her to Andrew Jackson Middle school as a Literacy Coach where she will serve as a support to teachers, parent, and the AJMS mission to make literacy a habitual practice among all students.
