Students visiting the media center enjoy reading, research, learning information skills, and Accelerated Reader. Students visit with classes and as individuals. Reading and helping students obtain information literacy skills is a primary focus of the Hoover Library Media Center.
Students use a variety of resources including print materials and computer labs. The library collection is expanded with the use of electronic databases such as World Book Web and our eBook Collection. Students also have electronic access to research materials through the Gale student resource databases and the Florida Electronic Library.
Students also explore their creative and problem solving sides in the Northrup Grumman Innovation Center (a makerspace) located in the Hoover's Library Media Center. Everything from composing music on a six foot interactive screen to 3d design and printing to programming robotics and more is available to interested students.
