2019 Senior Updates!!!
GRADUATION CAP AND GOWN DELIVERY
Graduation caps and gowns will be delivered the last week of March (March 27th, 28th & 29th) in the cafeteria during lunch. Any orders that are not picked up at VHS can be picked up at the Jostens Office in Melbourne. 1316 Berri Patch Pl, Ste 6 Melbourne, FL 32935 after the delivery dates in March. Balances can be paid for by calling Jostens 321-242-8828. Students looking to purchase their graduation items at the cafeteria can use cash or money orders only. No personal checks will be accepted in the cafeteria during the delivery dates.
**Correction to previous post*** At this time if you have not yet ordered your cap and gown or graduation gear, you will need to call Jostens directly to order.
GRAD BASH (UNIVERSAL STUDIOS)
Grad Bash takes place at Universal Studios (both parks) from 6:00PM until 2:00AM. This year, we will be attending Friday night April 5th. The buses will load at 5:00PM to leave promptly for Universal. We typically return to campus by 3:00 AM the next morning. The cost this year is $110 per senior. That cost includes the price of both parks (annual passes are not permitted for special events) and the cost for bus transportation (private vehicles are not permitted for this event). Tickets will be sold during lunch in the cafeteria during the weeks of March 11th – March 14th and March 25th – March 29th. Students who plan on attending should pick up a permission form prior to purchasing their tickets. Since the trip is out of county and overnight, the forms will need to be notarized. Prom will be held at the Holiday Inn in Cocoa off I-95 in the Space Coast Convention Center (http://www.spacecoastconventioncenter.com/). Prom will be held on Saturday April 13th from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. Dinner will not be included but hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks, and desserts will be provided. Seniors and their guest from any grade are invited. If a senior’s guest has graduated, or attend another school, they will need a non-VHS guest from and must be under the age of 21. Prom Ticket sales will be held in the cafeteria during lunch during the weeks of April 1st - April 5th for $50 a ticket and from April 8th – April 12th at $60 a ticket.
GRADUATION PRACTICE AND SENIOR BREAKFAST
The last day of classes for seniors is Wednesday May 22nd . Graduation Rehearsal, senior slideshow, and senior breakfast will be held the morning of Thursday May 23rd . We will begin the rehearsal at 9:00AM in the cafeteria with a senior breakfast, followed by a slide show, and graduation rehearsal. Students will receive their 9 graduation tickets upon the completion of the rehearsal.
GRADUATION DAY AND PROJECT GRADUATION
Graduation will be held Friday May 24th at Hawk Stadium here on campus. The ceremony begins at 6:30 with the gates opening at 5:00PM. More information on graduation will be handed out at rehearsal on May 23rd. There will be handicap parking and seating around the stadium. The ceremony is typically completed by 8:30 PM. Project graduation will be held for graduates that evening at Urban Air in Viera.
