    Elizabeth (Beth) Thedy, Ed.D., Deputy Superintendent, Chief Human Resources Officer

    Beth Thedy is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Brevard Public Schools. She has served as an educator and administrator in Brevard Public Schools for 27 years. Her many different areas of service include Director of Middle School Programs, elementary principal at Suntree Elementary School, middle school principal at Jackson Middle School, middle school assistant principal for curriculum at Space Coast Middle School, middle school dean/assistant principal at both Space Coast and Jackson, and 7th, 8th, and 9th grade science teacher at Johnson Middle School. 

    Dr. Thedy received both a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Science Education degree from Florida State University (1990). Her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership is from Nova Southeastern University (1994) and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership is from the University of Central Florida (2010).

    Dr. Thedy has served on or led various committees for Brevard Public Schools, including the 21st century skills project team, the AdvancED/SACS CASI district accreditation five-year review team, the Race to the Top team, the Professional Development Executive Council, the middle school student progression committee, and the virtual instruction program team, to name a few. She serves the community and students through nonprofit board service to include Children's Advocacy Center Brevard operations board, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren board of directors, and serves on the Florida Department of Education Articulation Coordinating Committee as the K-12 public education member.

    Dr. Thedy feels fortunate to work in Brevard Public Schools with the exemplary students, parents, teachers, support staff, and administrators all working toward a common mission: to serve every student with excellence as the standard.
