The Senior Class is proud to present to you…CLASS WARS! This will be for grades 9th-12th! It will be a Powder Puff Volleyball Tournament held on Friday, December 10th beginning at 6:00p.m. in the gym. You must have a team of 6 players FROM YOUR GRADE ONLY. It will be $5 per player, $30 per team. Registration will be during lunch and will begin on December 1st! Team colors/uniforms will need to consist of the following colors: Seniors – Pink and White, Juniors – Red and Black, Sophomores – Green and Purple, and Freshmen – Yellow and Black……and the Faculty Team….well do we have enough Faculty brave enough to take on the school? We’ll see!!!
Bundt Cake are being delivered today! If you ordered a Bundt cake/s make SURE you get it TODAY as we will not be here next week J If your Bundt cake seller doesn’t get you your cake by the end of the day come see Ms. Walker in 15-105 so that you can get it before our long holiday J

Congratulations to our Girls Basketball JV and Varsity prides for out advantaging Harmony High School last evening. JV won 37 to 11 and Varsity won 43 to 37.
Haley Overdorf, 20 points; AJ Overdorf, 12 points; and Torrie Dortly 11 points. Both JV and Varsity start the regular season 1-0. Come out tonight for our first home game at 6pm as we take on St. Edwards.
NHS and MS SGA are sponsoring a holiday clothing drive. Please look through your closet and bring in very gently used clothes that you do not need any more. Selected teacher will have boxes for you to deposit your donations. Thank you for making someone else’s holiday bright!
SENIORS! Ms. Walker is about to start putting your name on things…for example, senior class shirts, diplomas, etc. You MUST come see Ms. Walker in room 15-105 to verify the spelling of your name. This must be done by December 3rd.
Students of the Month
Attention all Student of the Month Winners for this School Year. Today during Homeroom, we will take a picture together in the Gym. In order to be in the picture you must be wearing your Student of the Month t-shirt. So wear your Student of the Month t-shirt proudly on Friday so you can be in the big picture. Again, all Student of the Month Winners for this year – August, September, and October, will be in a group picture Friday during Homeroom.
Attention all Academic Team members:
The Academic Team meets immediately after school this TODAY in the Ace Lab for our Yearbook Picture. Please wear your “Surfing Einstein” T-shirt for the photo shoot.
Again, Academic Team meeting TODAY, immediately after school in the ACE Lab. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The Cocoa Beach Turkey Trot 5K is looking for student volunteers to help with the race on Thanksgiving Day. This is a great way for students to earn volunteer hours. If you are interested in signing up to volunteer, go to the Athletics page on our school website and click on the Turkey Trot Volunteer link to sign up.
Seniors! Grad Bash is headed your way quickly! On Friday, April 1st we will be headed for an awesome evening of roller coasters and fun! We will leave school around 2:00p.m. and return around 3:30a.m. on Saturday morning! Seats are limited to the first 100 people who sign up. Get your permission sheets from Ms. Walker in room 15-105. The cost this year will be $136, make checks payable to Cocoa Beach Junior Senior High School.
College and Career Week
BINGO! Today is the last day of college and career week! Grad a BINGO card from your 1st period teacher. Find the teacher or staff member on campus who has had that college experience and have them sign that square. Fill up the entire card for a prize! The first 7 students with the entire card filled will get a Steak N Shake gift card!
Do you need volunteer hours? If so, join your Cocoa Beach Surf Team at Surfing Santas on December 24th from 6am to 1pm. We have opportunities for setup, tee-shirt sales, and tear down. Email email@example.com for more details or to sign up as a volunteer.
The Spanish and French Clubs want to invite you to our Annual International dinner TONIGHT. The dinner is a fundraiser, and the cost is only $9 per person, which includes the dinner, music, and other fun activities. You can buy your tickets and tickets for your family during A and B lunches today. Don't miss this great opportunity.
It takes a lot of people to make a school successful. Some you notice and some you may not. I want to encourage you to take time to notice the hard work our custodians and cafeteria workers do. Perhaps a good way to celebrate Thanksgiving is to take time to say thank you when you see any of these amazing people! Happy Thanksgiving!
