Brevard Wins Big at 2016 State Science Fair

Brevard Students Bring Home Top Awards in the 2016 Florida State Science and Engineering Fair ~ Seventy-eight Brevard students participated in the Florida State Science and Engineering Fair at the Lakeland Convention Center from March 29 through April 1, 2016. Brevard students brought home four Best of Show awards, eight first place awards, and a total of fifty-nine place awards. Brevard students won 55 additional special awards, totaling more than $405,760 in cash and scholarships.  

Daniella Bernadel and Ceili Masterson, both from Palm Bay Magnet High School, were each selected as Senior Best of Show winners with a $1,000 cash award, a trophy as a Nelson Ying Scholar, and an all-expenses paid invitation to compete at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in Phoenix, Arizona, from May 8 through May 14, 2016.  

Ritika Jeloka from Stone Magnet Middle School was named Junior Best of Show winner with a $500 cash award and a bid to the National Broadcom Masters competition. Kyle Bramblett from Sculptor Charter School was also selected as a Junior Best of Show winner with a $500 cash award and a bid to the National Broadcom Masters competition.
