Congratulations to Sophia Bailey of Satellite High School for being selected as the Brevard CTE U.S. Presidential Scholar.
Each year, school districts select one CTE U.S. Presidential Scholar, with up to 161 students earning this prestigious honor, one of the nation's highest for high school students. The CTE component of the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program recognizes students who demonstrate ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields.
Sophia boasts a 4.0 Unweighted GPA and a 4.336 Weighted GPA, along with Adobe certifications in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (after spending only two weeks working in the program), Premiere, and After Effects. She also has an internship with Blue Sky Advertising in Satellite Beach.
After graduation, Sophia plans to pursue a career in the film and video industry.
