Tropical Elementary will be celebrating RED RIBBON WEEK 21-25 Oct.. We have several activities each day to emphasize the importance of a Drug Free life. It is a great time for classroom discussions focused on healthy living and being drug free. Please stay tuned for the announcements each day, as Mrs. Skinner promotes Red Ribbon Week.
Monday, October 21st ( Drug Free Pledge Day) Mrs. Skinner will kick off the week with information on Red Ribbon Week. All students will receive Red ribbons to pledge to be drug free. Students may sign the Drug Free poster that will be displayed in the hall by the media center.
Tuesday, October 22nd: ( Wear Red Day ) All students and staff may wear RED to show their support for a Drug Free life. . The Drug Free poster will be posted by the media center for students to sign.
Wednesday, October 23rd: ( Decades of a Drug Free Life Day) Students and teachers may wear their favorite fashion trends to represent their favorite decade…I.e. 50’s 60’s 80’s to school in support of living a Drug Free life. Students may sign the Drug Free poster by the media center.
Thursday, October 24th: (Sock it to a Drug Free Life Day) Students and teachers may wear silly socks or mismatched socks to support a Drug Free life. Students will receive our RED RIBBON cookies as a special treat. Special thanks to our wonderful cafeteria manager for providing them for our students.
Friday, October 25th: ( Join our Drug Free Team Day) Students and Teachers may wear their favorite team shirt to support Red Ribbon Week. Please be sure that your students have signed the Drug Free poster outside the media center.
