Karena Johnson-Blackwell, Assistant Principal

Hello Tropical Families, 

I am Karena Johnson-Blackwell. I was born and raised in Brevard County. I attended Florida Christian Academy, Oak Park Elementary, Madison Middle, and Astronaut High School. 

I began working in Brevard in 2017 as a teacher at Coquina Elementary. Since then, I have worked at Mila Elementary, Golfview Elementary, Stone Middle School, and Johnson Middle School. I have worked as a teacher, school counselor, ESE school counselor, and a Teacher on Assignment. 

I am very excited to serve as the Assistant Principal of Tropical. I look forward to working with the team staff, families, and students at Tropical to keep Tropical the best school in Brevard.
