Letter from the Principal

Hello Stone Families!

As the new principal of Stone Magnet Middle School, I want to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year.  I hope you have enjoyed the summer months with your students, and hope that you created many fun and exciting memories with your loved ones.   As a product of Brevard County Public Schools and a former Stone student, I am excited to be returning home to an area I love.  It feels good to have gone out into the world, gained experience and knowledge, and bring that back home as a leader in my community.  I look forward to continuing the existing Stone traditions while also growing our school culture.

In addition, I look forward to ensuring that we teach our students with equity in order to make certain that all our students can become globally successful.  Equity is defined as a measure of achievement, fairness, and opportunity in education.  I believe in providing that fairness and opportunity to all so that we can facilitate a greater achievement by all.   As we enter this new school year, we will be focusing on what we as a team of parents, teachers and staff, can do to support our students on the road to their success.

We, here at Stone, are looking forward to meeting all of our families at many important school events throughout the year. The first evening activity is Open House, which takes place on September 9th from 6 – 8 p.m.

In closing, I am excited for the opportunity to enter into this new journey with a school and community that is close to my heart.  Let’s go Gophers!

 Your new principal,

Mr. Poole
