Open House

We hope you will join us for Open House Night, this Thursday, August 19, 2021.  Due to the recent COVID overtures and out of an abundance of caution for everyone we have decided not to have our large group kick off meeting in the Gym prior to Open House. Therefore, our campus will be open for all seven periods of student schedules beginning at 6:30 PM sharp.  We ask that you limit your attendance to only one parent per class and no students so we can lessen the crowds on campus and in the classrooms. Mr. Fleming will be making an announcement via the PA prior to the start of the first class listing any staff who are not able to be in attendance. You will be able to have a study hall in the cafeteria during that scheduled class!!! Thank you in advance for your support and understanding.

Student Elections

Students interested in running for office can pick up candidacy packets for HS SGA from Ms. Hoskins (2-202), for MS SGA from Mr. Bramlett (3-200), and for Junior Class from Ms. Richardson (15-105).  Senior class packets can be found on our school website by clicking the athletics tab.  Once on the athletics page the packets can be found on the right side of the page under important documents.  Completed packets are due back to the sponsor by Tuesday, August 24^th.  Campaigns will begin on August 30^th for approved candidates with elections during homeroom on Friday, September 3^rd.

Parent Meetings

Gifted students

Parents of 7^th and 9^th grade Gifted students will still meet with Ms. Reis at 5:30 in the media center prior to the start of Open House this Thursday, August 16, for some important information.

Thespians

For all parents of Thespian Club students, there will be a meeting with the Theatre Sponsor and booster club on Monday, August 23rd at 5:30pm in the cafeteria. Parents should bring all dues, if their student will be participating in shows this year. The dues for the entire year will be $100 total, collected by the boosters.

PTA

West Shore’s FIRST PTA meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, August 24^t ,   at 6:30 PM in the Auditorium.  Remember, you will receive one volunteer hour for attending!  So mark your calendars now!  

Senior Parents

There will be a Senior Parent meeting on Thursday August 26^th , starting at 6:30 PM in the Auditorium. We will be reviewing everything you need to know about the upcoming senior year including the college application process, financial aid and various senior activities
