Pecan Sale Begins!
Thomas Jefferson Middle School Music Department
Pecan Sale Begins September 21st
Beginning September 21st, your student(s) will start the Pecan/Nut Sale. An order form will be handed out in class. This is the eleventh year Jefferson Middle School Music Department has done this sale. It has proven to be very beneficial to the program and the product is incredible. This year items sold are: Chocolate Pecans, Cinnamon Pecans, Roasted and Salted Cashews, XL Pecan halves, and Caramel Clusters. Proceeds from the sale go towards the purchase of music, instruments, and equipment.
Please encourage your student(s) to sell early. The nuts will be delivered by Thanksgiving and make great seasonal holiday gifts. Please help your student to sell the product in a safe atmosphere such as to friends, relatives, teachers, coaches, office co-workers…etc. DO NOT SELL DOOR TO DOOR.
All money is to be collected at the time the order is taken. Completed order sheets with all money are due October 9, 2018. Please turn in to Ms. Kinion on Mondays and Wednesdays. Money should be either cash or check. Checks are made payable to Jefferson Middle School.
All products are sold at the cost of $10. We are hoping to exceed last year’s sales. Please help support the JMS Band Department! Our goal for this fundraiser is to purchase 50 new music stands (estimated cost is $2,000) and raise $3,000 of operating costs for new/updated equipment, clinicians, and fees.
This year we are asking EACH student to sell at least ONE item. When a student sells their ONE item, they can begin earning Music Monday. Music Money is the band’s incentive program in which students can use to buy music supplies and other fun things! Music Money can be earned by doing well on a test, attending mentoring or another band function, completing a class challenge, and more! We will be rewarding the top sales with rewards!
Thank you in advance for your help and encouragement.
Ms. Kathleen Kinion
JMS Band Director
