Our school is participating in the 2026 Florida Youth Survey sponsored by the Department of Health, the Department of Children and Families, and the Department of Education. Classes and students were chosen randomly to participate, and students must have a parent permission form on file to complete the survey. Permission forms were given to students last week. The survey will take place on April 9th during 2nd period.

29 seniors are part of the Bridge to Success cohort that are receiving extra mentoring and resources to attend EFSC in the fall. We got to tour EFSC's Melbourne Campus, getting a behind-the-scenes look at their Health Sciences building and state-of-the-art medical equipment, the Public Safety building showing how Law Enforcement is trained, and the brand-new Innovation building with the robotic dog entertaining us. Two seniors, Amare H. and Tyler S., received a $1000 scholarship at the conference!

Heritage High is offering book clubs based on book genres. We encourage our students to join a club - in the flyer, the club date, time, and location are listed. This is a great opportunity to read a new book, meet friends, and have fun discussing the book.

Heritage received the grant called 321 FASFA Liftoff. Please be on the lookout for FASFA completion incentives for seniors who complete their FASFA applications. We are honored to have received this amazing opportunity!

Heritage hosted the South Brevard College Fair on 9/9. Juniors and seniors from 4 high schools were able to talk to reps from 60 different colleges and universities!

Every year (now in its 18th year) Operation Homefront hosts the Military Child of the Year® Awards. The awards are open to military children between the ages of 13-18. There are 7 recipients 1 child from each branch of the services and each recipient receives

$10,000 CASH, a laptop, other donated goodies, and a 3-day trip to Washington, DC with us and their families.

Children are entered by nominations. Anyone that knows a military child can nominate any military child. So, you may nominate your students, friend’s children, children can nominate their siblings and best friends and so on. The awards are open to Active Duty, Reserves AND Veteran children.

The program is entirely FREE and exclusive to military children.

NOTE: Those of you who have already submitted a FAFSA application need to check that it is the ’25-’26 form, not ’24-‘25. After submitting, if you don’t receive an e-mail saying it’s been processed within 3 days, there’s an error. Call 1-800-433-3243 so you can fix errors preventing you from getting FREE MONEY. Once fixed and processed, call the college or trade school you’re interested in attending to ask about your financial aid package, based on your Student Aid Index (SAI).
