Florida Statutes 1003.02G RETURN ON INVESTMENT states that districts must notify the parent of a student who earns an industry certification that articulates for postsecondary credit of the estimated cost savings before the student's high school graduation versus the cost of acquiring such certification after high school graduation, which would include the tuition and fees associated with available postsecondary credits. The student and parent must be informed of any additional industry certifications available to the student.
To assist you, we have created the attached spreadsheet indicating the Return on Investment (ROI) for each certification offered in the district that articulates for college credit. To comply with the provision, you are being asked to include information on your school's website and/or in one of your school newsletters regarding the ROI for industry certifications earned at your school. You may use the information included on the attached spreadsheet or only the information specific to the certifications offered on your campus. The attached spreadsheet is also located on the CTE website Career and Tech Ed.
