The importance of regular attendance cannot be overemphasized. A child should be in school every day that he/she is physically able. It is extremely difficult to successfully keep up with classwork if attendance is irregular. It is equally important that students arrive to school on time to alleviate missed instructional time. The district’s attendance policy states:

Student Checkouts

Students will only be released to adults listed in Focus.

No checkouts will be permitted after 2:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday or 1:00 p.m. on Fridays.

Inclement Weather Dismissal

Dismissal may be delayed due to severe weather or lightning in the area. We will hold bikers/walkers in the media center until the weather is clear. If you need to make a change due to weather, please follow change of dismissal procedures by emailing Rooseveltelementary@brevardschools.org and the classroom teacher. We will send communication via FOCUS if we have any delays or changes to dismissal due to weather.
