Mr. Terry Brayboy

Mr. Terry Brayboy - CTE Department Chair-Business Educator

Personal Information:

Terry D. Brayboy was raised in Cocoa, Florida, where he received his education in the Brevard County School System. After graduating from high school, he attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University for two years before enlisting in the United States Army. He served diligently for eight years, including deployments to both Kosovo and Iraq.

Education and Work Experience:

After completing his military service, Terry returned to his long-standing goal of higher education. In May 2013, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Administration from Barry University, and later went on to receive a Master of Public Administration from Webster University.

For the past three years, Terry has served as a Career and Technical Education teacher at Space Coast Junior/Senior High School. In this role, he brings his dedication, discipline, and leadership skills into the classroom, where he is committed to fostering both academic success and personal growth in his students. His approachable nature and genuine investment in his students’ development have earned him lasting admiration—so much so that many choose to enroll in his classes year after year and often stop by simply to connect with him.

With a professional background that spans military service, higher education, and secondary education, Terry remains passionate about empowering young people to achieve their goals and preparing them to thrive in both their personal and professional lives.

Mr. Luis Reyes

Mr. Luis Reyes - Engineering

Personal Information:

  • Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

  • Married with three wonderful children:

  • Moved to Florida in 2006 after working for 14 years in a middle school for at risk students in Puerto Rico.

  • I come from a family of teachers. Proud son, grandson, and brother of another teacher.

Education and Work Experience:

  • BS – Technology Education / Industrial Arts – University of Puerto Rico

  • Technology Education 6-12 Professional Certificate

  • Industry Certification – SolidWorks (CSWA)

  • 2008 to Present: Tech Ed Teacher at Space Coast Jr/Sr High

  • 1993 – 2006: Tech Ed Teacher at Federico Asenjo Pre-Technical Middle School in Puerto Rico

Job Duties and Accomplishments:

  • Teach Applied Engineering Technology, Career Wheel, and the STEM wheel.

    • Helped to develop the STEM wheel at SCHS to expose 8th grade students to a technical field. Students are given the opportunity to experience Drafting/Engineering a field that may seem very scary and that most would never try. This has been a wonderful feeder program for the Academies at Space Coast.

  • 90% average passing rate) for SolidWorks Certification Exam

  • NASA HUNCH (High schools United with NASA to Create Hardware) - Space Coast is a Hunch school since last school year. Steam Academy and engineering students will create and problem solve a variety of items given to them directly from the astronauts’ needs on the International Space Station. Selected prototypes are fabricated by NASA and sent up to the International Space Station.
