Stone will host its annual High School Expo Night for current 8th graders on February 6 from 6-8pm in the Stone Media Center. Five different area high schools will be here to answer questions and share information regarding their programs. Please see image for full details.
Stone's annual Valentine's Dance will be on Friday, February 14 from 3:30-5:30pm. Tickets will be sold during all three lunches beginning Wed, 2/12 through Fri, 2/14 and at the door. Stone will be having its Sources of Strength Colors Week January 21-24. Sources of Strength is a mental health wellness program that utilizes the power of peer social networks to change unhealthy norms and culture to ultimately prevent suicide, bullying, violence, and substance abuse. Every month, Stone teachers and staff select an outstanding seventh and eighth grade student to be recognized. The Students of the Month for December are 7th grader, Hayden Saunders and 8th grader, Layla Lee. The next Skate Night will be Thursday, January 23 from 6-8pm. Skate Night will be at the Galaxy Skate Way on Aurora Road. The cost is $8 and includes skate rental.
The Harry T. Moore Cultural Park & Museum, where we will be hosting a Martin Luther King Jr. movie screening every Friday throughout the month of January. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King while enjoying a series of impactful films.
