As the principal of R.L. Stevenson Elementary School of the Arts, Mrs. Fleeger is dedicated to fostering a love for the arts and providing a quality education for all of our students. With over 25+ years of experience in education, she is deeply committed to enriching the lives of both our students and teachers.

I actively seek out professional development opportunities to enhance my own knowledge and skills, which ultimately benefits our school community."

Mrs. Fleeger's goal as principal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued and inspired to pursue their passions. She works closely with our dedicated teachers to provide them with the resources and support they need to deliver high-quality arts-integrated education to our students. Together, we strive to create opportunities for our students to explore their creativity, develop their talents, and reach their full potential.

Assistant Principal

As a school leader, Wehrly believes in every students' ability to succeed. She works to foster a collaborative team approach between parents, teachers, and administrators while involving students in the process. She brings a deep and thoughtful understanding of teaching and learning to her role, grounding her leadership in research, best practices, and real classroom experience. Her instructional knowledge allows her to support teachers with clarity and purpose, always keeping student growth at the center of decisions.

Mrs. Wehrly holds students to high expectations while building strong, respectful relationships that motivate them to meet those standards. She believes every student is capable of success and consistently reinforces accountability, responsibility, and pride in learning. Her approach balances rigor with care, creating an environment where students feel supported and challenged.

Mrs. Barrons has dedicated an impressive 18 years to the field of education, specializing in reading. With a master's degree in this area, she has honed her expertise and developed a deep understanding of effective teaching practices. Mrs. Barrons is not only endorsed in gifted education, but also in coaching, showcasing her commitment to ongoing professional development. Her passion lies in supporting young readers and instilling in them a love for literacy. Mrs. Barrons' dedication does not stop at the classroom level; she aims to promote literacy schoolwide, creating a culture of reading and fostering a lifelong love for learning in her students.
