Discovery Music Clubs Information

Chorus: Discovery is offering Chorus to third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. Chorus provides educational growth to students and it has been proven students who belong to an extracurricular group and students who participate in music ensembles show better school grades and more self-confidence. Students in chorus will learn to sing properly, read music notation and perform in concerts. We will start this program beginning the week of September 2nd.

Chorus will meet twice a week. Fifth and Sixth grade Chorus rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 2:30-3:15 in the music room. Third and Fourth grade Chorus rehearsals will be held on Thursdays from 2:30-3:15.

Strings: Discovery is offering fifth and sixth grade students an opportunity for education growth by providing a Strings Music Program. Students can choose from the violin, viola, cello or bass. This program is a 1 year commitment and instruments will be available to rent. Attendance and practice times are mandatory and will be taken very seriously. Strings practice will be before school on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 7:30-7:55am.
