Safety Patrol Information
🦺The Discovery Safety Patrol is a group of student leaders dedicated to service, responsibility, and promoting safety throughout our school community. 🌟 Safety Patrol members serve as positive role models and take pride in helping others each day.
Students in our patrol are in grades 4–6. Patrol members assist with morning arrival 🌅, hallway supervision 🏫, and other school events as needed. They help ensure that students move safely through the building and on school grounds while demonstrating respect, kindness, and leadership. 🤝
Being a member of the Discovery Safety Patrol is both an honor and a responsibility. 🎖️ Students are expected to maintain strong behavior, show good citizenship, and consistently model our school’s expectations. Patrol members work as a team, support one another, and develop important leadership and communication skills that will benefit them for years to come. 💬✨
At the end of the school year in April, applications are given to upcoming 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. 📝 Interested students complete an application process, and selections are made based on responsibility, teacher recommendations, and a commitment to serving our school community.
