Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
We are writing to inform you that your child’s results from the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) progress monitoring are now available.
FAST assessments are administered three times each school year (PM1, PM2, and PM3) and provide valuable insight into your child’s progress in Reading and Mathematics based on Florida’s B.E.S.T. Dear Parent/Guardian
The Florida Assessment of Student Learning (FAST) is a progress monitoring system that is administered three times a year to track your student’s progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout the school year. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that your student’s score[s] the PM3 administration of the FAST ELA Reading and Mathematics are now available on the Family Portal. You will access the Family Portal at www.FLFAST.org. [Please see the attachment on how to access the TIDE student score]. These results are for informational purposes only and should be used to identify areas that may need additional instruction and support.
Each progress monitoring test covers the full “test blueprint,” meaning that all content expectations for that subject and grade level are assessed. Therefore, for PM1, your student may not be at grade level; however, this does not necessarily indicate that a student is not on track to succeed. It is important for teachers and families to understand that PM1 information is intended to provide baseline results; once your student participates in PM2 and PM3, you will be able to track the progress your student made throughout the school year.
For more information about student scores or the Family Portal, please visit http://flfast.org/families.html
If you have any questions related to this test administration, you may contact Ms. Hart at hart.sophia@brevardschools.org.
