Stevenson Families,
The energy here at school is absolutely buzzing as we navigate these final, action-packed weeks of the school year! It's incredible to witness the culmination of all our students' hard work and dedication. Speaking of which, we are thrilled to share some fantastic news regarding our recent state assessment results. Our students have demonstrated amazing performance and growth, a true testament to their effort and the unwavering support of our incredible teachers and families. We couldn't be prouder of their achievements!
We also want to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you for the overwhelming love and appreciation you showered upon our staff during Staff Appreciation Week. We were truly touched by the thoughtful lunches, coffee, acai bowls, beautiful flowers, kind notes, delicious snacks, and so many other special treats. Your generosity and kindness mean the world to us and serve as a wonderful reminder of what makes the Stevenson community so special. We are deeply grateful for our students and families – you truly make Stevenson a remarkable place to learn and work.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting events on the horizon! Next week, our 5th graders will be showcasing their science knowledge during the state science assessment on Tuesday, May 13th. On Wednesday, May 14th, select students will participate in the Island Strings Concert. The theatrical talents of our 6th graders will be on display on Thursday, May 15th, with their Greek Play. And finally, mark your calendars for Monday, May 19th, for our Enrichment Showcase, where students will share their amazing projects and learning from their enrichment clusters. Additionally, our media center will be hosting the final book fair of the year next week – a perfect opportunity to stock up on summer reading! Please keep an eye out for separate communications from your child's classroom teacher regarding the dates and times for upcoming end-of-year awards ceremonies and class picnics.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we celebrate a successful year and look forward to these final exciting events. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you Monday in the car loop!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fleeger
