Principal Message

Stevenson Families,

What an incredible week we've had! Despite the wet weather and extended dismissal lines due to lightning in the area, our students, staff, and families showed tremendous patience and understanding. Most importantly, everyone remained safe—thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Our Read-a-Thon is off to a fantastic start! The first week of prizes will be delivered to students on Monday, and we’re so appreciative of the enthusiastic participation so far. We can’t wait to see how many minutes are read and how many pledges are gathered in the coming week!

Last week, 169 families answered the hidden question and earned 30 minutes of volunteer hours. The correct answer was: Penguin Walk is the name of the dismissal route that ends at Kelly Park. We’re excited to see how many families will find and answer this week’s hidden question!

Open House was a huge success—thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it such a special evening.

Looking ahead, we have a busy and exciting week coming up. On Monday, August 25th, all students will have their school pictures taken in uniform, and families can place orders online. On Tuesday, our talented Concert Choir will be performing at the School Board meeting—we are so excited to show off their talent. Also, on Tuesday and Wednesday, students in grades 3–6 will take the FAST PM1 assessment. Please remember that this is a baseline assessment, and student growth will be measured from this point forward. Then on Thursday at 4:15 PM, we invite families of students in grades 4–6 to join us in the Performing Arts Building for our Science Fair Informational Night.

That's it for this week! Thank you for being such an engaged and supportive community. I'll see you Monday in the car loop!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Fleeger
