Principal Message

Happy Friday, Stevenson Families!

We’ve had a wonderful week! Students had their pictures taken, and we’re excited to share that new student ID badges are being created and will be distributed once they arrive. This week our students also amazed the audience at the School Board Meeting with their talents. In addition, we want to thank all the families who joined us for our Science Fair Informational Night—it was a great turnout, and we’re looking forward to seeing the amazing projects our students will create.

Dismissal is improving each day, and we truly appreciate the families who have downloaded the PikMyKid app. If you haven’t yet, we kindly ask that you do so. Even if your child uses Penguin Walk, the app allows you to designate that as a pickup option. We will begin using the app at Kelly Park once all the kinks are ironed out, just as we currently do for our car loop dismissal.

Our Read-a-Thon has one more week to go, and the excitement is building! Mrs. Robinson’s class is currently in the lead, with Mrs. Park’s class close behind in second place. I wonder who all is going to earn the prize of pieing me in the face! Keep reading, logging your minutes, and gathering those pledges—let’s finish strong!

We also want to give a big shoutout to the 163 families who found and answered last week’s hidden question correctly and earned themselves 30 minutes of volunteer service! The correct answer was that students need to be in their seats by 9:00 AM to avoid being marked tardy. Let’s see how many families can find and answer this week’s hidden question!

Please remember that there will be no school on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day. Also, mark your calendars for our Volunteer Meeting on Friday, September 5th at 9:10 AM in the cafeteria. We’d love to see you there!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Have a safe and relaxing long weekend!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Fleeger
