Happy Friday, Stevenson Families!
What a wonderful week of learning we have had here at Stevenson Elementary! Our Penguins are already working hard, learning new things, and making us proud each day. As we head into the weekend, we have a few important reminders for the exciting week ahead!
Next week, students in grades 3–6 will take their FAST assessments, with ELA on Tuesday and Math on Thursday. Please help your child prepare by making sure they get a good night’s rest each evening. We want our students to come to school feeling rested, confident, and ready to show us what they know!
We are also excited to share that Brevard After School enrichment sign-ups begin today! If you would like your child to participate in an enrichment opportunity, please email fuller.tiffany@brevardschools.org by August 26th to sign up.
Our Book Fair is coming next week, and we can’t wait to see our Penguins find some new favorite books! Students will have the opportunity to shop during the school day at their Media activity times, and families are also welcome to visit the Book Fair during our Open House. The Book Fair will remain open until 6:30 p.m., so be sure to stop by and stock up on some great reads! Speaking of Open House, be sure to RSVP for the sessions at this link: RSVP.
Picture Day is Monday! 📸 Students are required to be in their school uniform for Fall Picture Day. We are looking forward to capturing all of those wonderful Stevenson smiles! If you would like to preorder photo packages, you may do so using the Fall Picture Pre-Order Link.
I also want to apologize for the brief delay with our i-Ready Summer Reading Celebration! We had a few papers that were turned in without a student name, but the celebration is coming up this week! If your child is unsure whether they turned in their paper, they can check with the front office on Monday, and we will be happy to help.
Finally, a friendly reminder about morning arrival: our gate closes promptly at 8:58 a.m. so that instruction can begin at 9:00 a.m. Any student who is dropped off after 8:58 must be accompanied by an adult into the front office and signed in. Thank you for helping us ensure our school day starts smoothly and our students are ready to learn right at 9:00! (Hidden Question)
