What an amazing week we've had!
We were thrilled to see such a wonderful turnout at our first volunteer meeting of the school year. Thank you to everyone who attended and is looking for ways to support our students, staff, and school community. We truly appreciate your partnership!
It was also great to see so many students participating in our PAID Out of Uniform Day and proudly representing their favorite sports teams and activities. As a reminder, whenever we have out-of-uniform opportunities, students are still expected to follow the Brevard Public Schools dress code.
On that note, I learned a great saying from one of our parents at the volunteer meeting and wanted to share it:
"Reach up to the sky and down to your toes, if anything shows, go change your clothes!"
Thank you for helping us ensure students are dressed appropriately and ready to learn each day.
There will be no school on Monday in observance of Labor Day. We hope all of our families enjoy a safe and relaxing long weekend!
Looking ahead to next week, our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will take their first state assessment of the year on Wednesday. We know they will do a wonderful job showing what they know.
For families with students in Grades 3-6, remember that you can access your child's FAST assessment scores through Focus. If you have any questions about your child's results, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Our school clinic could use a few supplies. If you are willing and able to help, you can even earn volunteer hours for shopping. The clinic is currently in need of:
Tissues
Paper towels
Band-Aids (skinned-knee size)
Quart-size Ziploc freezer bags

Also, our Science and Engineering Fair Information Night for students in Grades 4-6 will be held on Thursday, September 10, at 4:15 p.m. in the PAB. Families are encouraged to attend and learn about this year's guidelines, expectations, and important deadlines.
